It’s probably a bad idea to try and make sock blockers out of cardboard, isn’t it?
I have sooooo many cardboard boxes now that I’ve finally unpacked everything. I thought it might be a cool way to try and use them instead of just throwing them out. I realize that the cardboard would get soggy, but I have so many boxes that I could just make a blocker for every single sock I plan on knitting (which is up to at least five pairs for Christmas presents). Maybe I’ll make one and try it out and go from there…
I have to think that there is some merit in this idea. Maybe cover them in tape or something before blocking?

cover the cardboard in duct tape and you should be just fine!

Lurandah: Not necessarily a bad idea if you wrap it in plastic. Like saran wrap or something.

Make your blockers with the cardboard but then cover them with cellophane or saran wrap, I’m sure that would protect...

I got some coated wire hangers at Walmart & you can bend them into sock blockers of different sizes. Clip the top of the sock to them with clothespins. knittingzone.com/blocker…
