For those who are new here, my Tumblr states that I am a “grammar dominatrix.”  Let me explain: I am a trained proofreader and editor, and so a lot of people assume that I am one of those “grammar Nazis” who go around correcting people’s grammar on the internet.  That is not how it works.  I’m a professional, dammit.  I will only be laying the smack-down on your grammar if you pay me.

There’s nothing I enjoy more than slapping the crap out of some wayward grammar and naughty usage, but, like a regular dominatrix, I will only do that if you have agreed to it and paid me for it.  I will spank your disagreeing verbs until they are red and swollen, but I won’t do it for free.

Unless you really piss me off.
